2. Things Needed for Initial Setup
- Smartphone
- Catlog Board
- AA Battery x6
- Please use alkaline batteries
- Rechargeable batteries (lithium-ion batteries) can be used, but they may cause reduced performance
- Name (SSID) and password for your wireless network
- Your cat (please help with the setup process if possible🐈)
3. Decide who will manage the Catlog Series devices
The person who will be managing the Catlog series should set up the devices and cats using his/her Catlog ID (account). Changes to the account cannot be made after setup.

4. Install the Catlog app
iOS: App Store
Android: Google Play
5. Prepare your smartphone
For iOS devices
- Go to Settings app > Turn on Bluetooth
- Go to Settings app > Catlog > Allow access to Bluetooth
For Android devices
The method will vary depending on the model of your device. For detailed instructions, please contact your carrier.
- Turn on your device's location services
- Go to Settings app > Allow Catlog app to use your location
- If you don't receive a request for permission, proceed to step 3. Some devices will not request this permission.
- Turn on your device's Bluetooth
- Go to Settings app > Allow Catlog app access to Bluetooth
6. Log into the Catlog app
For those with a Catlog ID
- Open the Catlog app
- Log in with your registered email address / password
- If you forgot your email address / password, please refer to How to change your registration information to reset your email address / password.
For those without a Catlog ID
- Open the Catlog app
- Tap "Create a new Catlog ID"
- Fill in the necessary information
- Tap "Agree and Create Account"
- Check for an email with the subject line: "[Catlog] Please confirm your email address (temporary registration)"
(This will be sent to the email address entered in step 3.)
7. Set notifications from the Catlog app
- Set the Catlog app notifications to "Allow"
- You will be notified of changes in your cat's condition, litter box usage, battery level of the Catlog Board, and more.
- You can choose which notifications you receive from Catlog app > My Page > Notification Settings.
8. Set up Catlog Board
- Once you have completed the "Create a new Catlog ID", choose "Catlog"
- Or, Catlog app > My Page > "Add a Catlog device" > press "Catlog Board"
- Insert 6 AA batteries into the Catlog Board
- Please thoroughly review “Safety Precautions, Package Contents, and Handling”
- Please slide the battery cover horizontally to open and close it. Applying force in other directions may cause damage
- Please use alkaline batteries
- Rechargeable batteries (lithium-ion batteries) can be used, but they may cause reduced performance
- Follow the instructions on the Catlog app screen to set it up
9. Register your cat
- After setting up the "Catlog Board", choose "Add a cat"
- Or, go to Catlog app > My Cat > Press the '≡' in the bottom left > tap 'Add a new cat'
- Follow the instructions on the Catlog app to complete the setup.
Note: Please be careful not to register your cat more than once.
10. Sign up for "Purrfect Cat Membership"
- Catlog app > My Page > Tap "Membership Management"
- Enter the email address registered to your Catlog ID
- In the email with the subject line: "Guide to Purrfect Cat Membership Management Screen", click on the URL to access the Purrfect Cat Membership management screen
Note: This will be sent to the email address entered in step 2.
- Sign up for Purrfect Cat Membership for each cat.
11. Check the Catlog app
If the status of the Catlog Board is displayed under Catlog App > My Cat, then you're done!
Note: For those using Catlog, setup is complete if “Litter Box / Weight” is shown under “Today’s Data” on My Cat!
