When your cat's litter box visit is not recorded
Please check the following:
- Placement
- When you clean the litter box
- Cat posture and behavior during excretion
- Size of the litter box
- Connection status
- Low Battery
1. Placement
The following conditions related to the placement of the Catlog Board and litter box may affect the results of weight measurement.
- Installation on unstable floor surfaces
For example: Tatami mats, high-pile carpets, surfaces that sag and make the Catlog Board unstable, etc.
- There are objects near the Catlog Board that cause vibration
- There is cat litter stuck between the litter box and the Catlog Board, or between the Catlog Board and the floor
- Nearby walls, furniture, etc. are interfering with the connection.
2. When you clean the litter box
If you clean just before or after your cat uses the litter box, or if you reposition the litter box, it may not be possible to correctly determine the cat's behavior and weight.
Please clean only after the cat has used the litter box and you have checked the litter box record in the app.
3. Cat posture and behavior during excretion
The following postures and behaviors of the cat during excretion can affect the results of weight measurement and data transmission.
- Part of the body is on the edge of the litter box during excretion
- Part of the body is outside of the litter box
- Long periods of time spent stationary in the litter box
- Multiple cats use the litter box simultaneously or consecutively
4. Size of the Litter Box
Catlog Board has a size of about 48 cm x 33cm (18.9 in x 13 in). We recommend using a litter box size that does not stick out significantly, and that can maintain stability even when placed on top of the Catlog Board.
We do not recommend using litter boxes that are considerably larger than Catlog Board as it may be difficult to ensure accurate measurement and safety.
5. Connection Status
If the connection is interrupted or unstable and data is unable to be transmitted, it may not be possible to correctly determine the cat's behavior and weight.
If there is a possibility that the connection of the Catlog Board is interrupted, please try reconfiguring or restarting the wireless LAN router.
6. Low Battery
Check the battery icon next to the name of Catlog Board in "My Page", and replace the battery if the remaining amount is low.
*Please be sure to use the same type of batteries and insert them in the correct direction.
