Changing/Reconfiguring wireless network settings
Before you start, please ensure that the Bluetooth and location settings of your smartphone are turned on.
Steps
- Open My Page in the Catlog app.
- Tap the name of your Catlog Home.
- Tap "Wireless Network Settings".
- Follow the instructions on the screen to finish setting up your wireless network settings.
If the Catlog Home’s ID is not displayed
Please check the following:
- For iOS devices:
- Ensure the device's Bluetooth settings are turned on.
- Ensure the Catlog app has permission to access Bluetooth.
- For Android devices:
- Ensure the device's Bluetooth or location settings are turned on.
- Ensure the Catlog app has permission to access location.
Note: Android settings may vary depending on the device.
If SSID is not displayed
Please refer to the Wireless Network Router Settings for details.
The message "Oops... Please reinsert the batteries or reconnect the cables on your Catlog device and wait a few moments" is displayed
This is displayed when Catlog Home is unable to connect. Please try the following steps:
- Unplug and replug the power cable of Catlog Home.
- Reboot the wireless LAN router.
- Configure the wireless network settings of Catlog Home.
Catlog Pendant cannot be charged
Please try the following steps:
- When placing the Catlog Pendant on Catlog Home’s charging dock, check if the LED on both devices lights up red.
Note: If the LED turns off immediately after lighting up, it may be fully charged. - Wipe the charging terminals of Catlog Pendant and Catlog Home with a dry cloth.
- Change the power strip, USB AC (power) adapter, and power cable that Catlog Home is connected to, and try charging the Catlog Pendant.
"Energy Score" is not displayed
“Energy Score” will begin to display after about two weeks of data accumulation from the start of use. However, if the daily data acquired is not enough, it will be displayed as "Insufficient Data".
Due to the nature of wireless communication technology, the amount of data acquired may be reduced due to the following reasons:
- When the connection of Catlog Home is unstable.
- When there are things that block the space between your cat and Catlog Home, such as furniture or curtains.
- When your cat spends time in a place surrounded by something, such as inside a covered bed.
- The posture of your cat (for example, when sleeping in a curled-up posture that hides the Catlog Pendant, etc.).
- When household appliances such as microwaves and TVs are near Catlog Home.
- The installed Catlog Home(s) are unable to cover all areas where your cat spends his/her time.
Please try the following to see if the amount of data acquired improves:
- Reboot the wireless LAN router.
- Configure the wireless network settings of Catlog Home.
- Move Catlog Home to a location where your cat often spends time during the hours when there is "No Data" in the Catlog app’s "Diary".
- Move Catlog Home to the center of the room, a high position, etc.
If the hours with "No Data" improve, you can expect to see "Energy Score" displayed in about two weeks.
